Kangas and Koalas and Spiders! Oh my!

I had the opportunity to go to Australia last month with one of my very best friends. We went to see her boyfriend/my friend who lives in Sydney and spent a wonderful two weeks on beaches, camping, going to the zoo, and kayaking. We rang in the New Year at a house that was straight out the O.C., got to celebrate our friend's 21st birthday and met some amazing new Aussie friends.  It was the perfect getaway from the bitter Minnesota winter. We even miss this whole "polar vortex" thing people are talking about. Talk about a perfectly planned trip.

I miss it already!

  1. Wow, looks so amazing! I hope to get there one day...we'll see though

    1. You'll have to go! It's a beautiful country.

  2. What a great trip! I'm so envious that you got to visit in the summer, I've only been during the winter (our summer). Love that shot of the fireworks! Also, did you know that it's illegal to cuddle a koala in most states? Haha.

    1. I was very lucky to get the nice side of the Australian summer and not the "Its so hot I think I'm melting" part. That's so interesting about the the koalas! I guess since they're becoming so endangered, they've got to do everything to protect them.
